Cape Range and Ningaloo
A car supports the mainland national park and coast, subject to the vehicle's permitted roads.
Exmouth car hire
Exmouth town pickup is separate from Learmonth Airport. Hertz rents from 24 Nimitz Street and Avis from 36 Pelias Street, while Avis also has a Learmonth Airport branch. Compare an airport pickup with a transfer to town and fewer rental days before a Ningaloo or Cape Range itinerary.

Preparing live car hire search
Collecting a car in Exmouth
These are two distinct Exmouth town addresses. Learmonth Airport is a different collection point.
24 Nimitz Street, Exmouth
- Hertz
36 Pelias Street, Exmouth
- Avis
Lot 101-445 Murat Road, Exmouth WA 6707
- Europcar
Collecting the car
- 1
Choose the town branch on Nimitz Street or Pelias Street that fits your stay and arrival time.
- 2
If landing at Learmonth, decide whether to collect at the airport or arrange a transfer to Exmouth for town pickup.
- 3
Before Cape Range or coastal driving, check permitted roads and beach restrictions in the actual rental agreement.
- 4
If you book Europcar, the mapped collection address is Lot 101-445 Murat Road, Exmouth WA 6707. Confirm the exact handover point on your final voucher.
Returning a car in Exmouth
- 1
Return to the exact Exmouth town depot in your booking, not Learmonth Airport.
- 2
Confirm Sunday and after-hours arrangements in advance: the town branches have limited staffed windows.
- 3
Allow enough time for fuel, inspection and any transfer back to the airport.
Drives from Exmouth
Learmonth connection
Airport pickup is separate from Exmouth town hire. Price the transfer and extra hire days before choosing.
Driving around Exmouth
Town and airport are distinct
Avis has both a Pelias Street town depot and a Learmonth Airport branch. The return address must match the booking.
Road-use check
A vehicle advertised as a 4WD does not itself grant permission for beaches, tracks or unsealed roads.
Compare town collection with the flight transfer
An Exmouth town hire is a different arrangement from Learmonth Airport collection. Include the transfer to the town depot if you arrive by air, then compare fuel, selected extras and rental days for the Ningaloo stay. Verify the payment card, deposit, excess and mileage conditions on the town offer itself. A Learmonth return needs an accepted branch pair and its own collection or handover instructions; do not count it as a free airport transfer without an explicit quote.
Fit bags and equipment for the Ningaloo stay
For an Exmouth town booking, count snorkelling or outdoor equipment alongside suitcases and every traveller. Compare an estate or larger SUV if the smaller category leaves bags above the luggage cover or on occupied seats. The supplied make and boot layout depend on the offer, not this illustration. Confirm intended Cape Range or other access roads with the rental company, especially any unsealed section; a four-wheel-drive category does not override exclusions or grant permission for beach driving.
Exmouth car hire questions
Rental terms differ by company. Where an answer depends on your agreement, we say so.
Where can I collect in Exmouth town?
Hertz is at 24 Nimitz Street; Avis is at 36 Pelias Street.
Is Learmonth Airport the same pickup?
No. It is a separate branch and location.
Can I return in town after collecting at the airport?
Only if the provider offers that one-way arrangement on the chosen rate.
Can I drive on beaches or tracks?
Check the selected vehicle's road-use terms. A 4WD label alone does not grant permission.
