Privacy policy

This policy explains what CarHire.global uses, what a booking partner or rental supplier receives, how contact messages are routed and the choices available to visitors. It does not replace the privacy notice of the selected booking provider or rental company.

1. Who this policy covers

CarHire.global is a car-hire comparison and referral website. We publish destination information, provide planning tools and help visitors continue to a selected booking journey. We are not the vehicle rental company and do not control the supplier's rental contract.

This policy applies to the CarHire.global website, destination guides, map and planning tools, contact form and related technical operation. The booking provider and local rental company may act as separate data controllers for information submitted in their booking flow; their own privacy notices apply to that information.

2. Information you provide

If you use the contact form, we may receive your name, email address, optional booking reference, message topic and message. We use those details to answer the enquiry or route a booking question to the party named in your confirmation.

The website does not need payment-card numbers, passport details, licence scans or identity documents in a contact message. Do not submit them through the form. For an existing reservation, use the supplier or booking-provider contact details in your voucher.

3. Search and booking information

The supplier booking engine may ask for pickup locations, dates, driver details and other information needed to return availability or process a reservation. Information entered into that partner journey is sent to and processed by the booking provider and selected rental supplier under their own privacy notices and booking conditions.

CarHire.global is not intended to be a separate booking database. Keep your confirmation voucher and use the supplier's support route for payment, pickup, amendments, cancellation and refund questions.

4. Information collected automatically

Our hosting and security systems may record standard technical information such as requests, timestamps, device or browser information and approximate network information. This helps operate the website, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and protect the service.

Where a dedicated CarHire.global GA4 measurement ID is configured, we may receive aggregated information about pages, guides, map interactions and booking-search actions. The site does not treat a search-submit event as a completed booking, and confirmed bookings must be reconciled with the booking provider.

5. How we use information

We use information to respond to website, guide and privacy questions; help visitors identify the correct booking-support route; maintain and secure the website; understand which planning content is useful; measure referral performance where configured; and meet legal or operational obligations.

We do not sell contact details. Referral commission, where applicable, does not change the supplier's booking conditions or give us control over the vehicle, payment, deposit or cancellation decision.

6. Service providers and sharing

Information may be processed by the providers needed to run the service, including hosting and security providers, the booking provider and selected rental supplier, Google Analytics where enabled, and the configured email or Telegram notification service used to alert the website team about a contact message.

We share information only when needed for the purpose described above, when you continue to a booking partner, when a service provider processes it on our behalf, or when disclosure is required to protect the service, comply with law or respond to a lawful request.

7. Cookies and measurement choices

Essential technical storage may be used for the site to operate. The booking provider may set its own cookies or similar technologies after you continue into its booking journey. Analytics is loaded only when the CarHire.global deployment provides its approved GA4 measurement ID; browser settings and available opt-out controls can limit analytics or partner technologies, although parts of the booking journey may then behave differently.

8. Retention and security

We keep contact information and support correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, maintain an accurate support record, protect the website and meet legal obligations. Notification providers may retain a copy under their own policies. We do not retain payment-card numbers through the CarHire.global contact form.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you suspect a privacy or security problem, contact us promptly with the affected page and date, without sending sensitive documents.

9. International processing

Our hosting, analytics, booking, email and notification providers may process information in countries outside your own. The relevant provider's privacy notice explains its locations, safeguards and retention practices. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and limit information to what the relevant purpose requires.

10. Your questions and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be able to ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, or object to or limit particular processing. To ask a privacy question or make a request, use the CarHire.global contact page and select the privacy topic. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where a legal or security exception applies.

For information held by a booking provider or rental supplier, contact that organisation using the details in your confirmation or its privacy notice. It controls the information submitted in its booking flow and the rental contract.

11. Updates

We may update this policy when the website, booking integration, analytics or contact workflow changes. The current version will be published on this page. Last updated: 15 August 2026.
