Domestic flight collection
For a domestic arrival, Asap is on Floor 1 of the domestic terminal, while Drive Car Rental is at domestic Floor 1, Entrance 8. These are different companies and positions. If the reservation names another operator, follow that operator rather than either example. Save the company phone number and verify a late-flight procedure in advance. Enterprise has a domestic-arrivals counter on the first floor between doors 1 and 2; its vehicle handover and return instructions must still be checked on the selected booking.

A booking made for a domestic-terminal desk may require a terminal transfer after an international arrival; ask the company how to reach it before the flight. Confirm the parking point
Phuket Airport rental returns use the front car-rental area, but it does not allocate every company bay. Before driving away at collection, ask for the exact return point, fuel rule, key procedure and any shuttle or walk to the departure terminal. Enter that return point in navigation rather than the passenger drop-off curb.
Leave departure buffer
Allow time for fuel, inspection, luggage, a possible terminal transfer and check-in. Ask whether the operator accepts returns outside its counter hours and how the condition is recorded then. A car can help when lodging, beaches and activities are spread across Phuket or when continuing onto the mainland. Count the actual daily drives and check each accommodation parking arrangement. The route can include busy roads and unfamiliar junctions, so set navigation before departure and avoid adding a long evening drive after a tiring flight.
One beach may need a transfer
The airport Smart Bus serves Cherngtalay, Surin, Kamala, Patong, Karon, Kata and Rawai. If the stay follows that corridor with little independent travel, compare a transfer or bus with paying for idle car days and hotel parking. Check the current service and the luggage fit for your party before choosing.

IDP and original licence
UK visitors need the 1968 IDP with their UK licence. Australian visitors need a valid IDP with their Australian licence for the vehicle class. Thailand recognises eligible convention permits. Other licence holders should verify their own recognition rule and any required translation before travel. Carry the physical originals at collection.
Do not equate car and motorcycle entitlement
A car licence or hire agreement does not authorise a scooter or motorcycle. Match every driver and vehicle class to the documents, and check the rental agreement and travel insurance. If additional drivers will share the route, have them named and accepted by the operator before they take the wheel.
