Port Lincoln city
14 km south of the airport
The immediate airport transfer; decide whether your accommodation and planned outings justify keeping a car for the entire stay.
Port Lincoln Airport is 14 km north of the city, and Avis, Budget and Europcar have hire-car desks inside its terminal. Book ahead and follow the selected company's directions to the vehicle and return bay. An airport pickup makes sense for a short flight-in Eyre Peninsula trip; a drive from Adelaide is a different, much longer rental decision.

If the trip is confined to town, compare a pre-booked taxi or shuttle with the whole rental cost, including parking and the return day.
Use the rental company's return directions and assigned bay, then bring the key to the handover point in your booking instructions.
Europcar directs its customers to the designated rental parking area by following terminal signs; do not assume the other providers use the same bay or key procedure.
Allow time for the drive from town, fuel if required, the car check and the walk to check-in. Confirm after-hours arrangements directly with the provider.

Some campsites can be reached on sealed roads while others require 4WD. Choose the exact park destination before selecting a vehicle class or assuming access.
In Coffin Bay National Park, a standard 2WD can reach Yangie Bay and sealed-road lookouts, but the northern beaches require high-clearance 4WD. A vehicle category alone does not mean beach or unsealed-road driving is permitted under a hire agreement.
Coffin Bay National Park charges vehicle entry, and camping must be booked before arrival. Confirm the intended track and access conditions before leaving the sealed road; a flight-day park visit should allow for the return drive.
Compare the quoted rate with bond or card requirements, excess, fuel, extra drivers, kilometres, park fees and any one-way return. Check the supplier's exact road-use terms before paying.
