Kosciuszko National Park charges per vehicle: $29 a day from the Friday of the June long weekend to the Monday of the October long weekend, and $17 the rest of the year. Park passes are on sale at the entry stations, NPWS visitor centres and pay machines, so you do not need one before leaving Canberra.
In winter (June to the October long weekend) the Khancoban to Cabramurra Road is shut, so do not plan a loop through it. The Alpine Way from Jindabyne to Khancoban is 108 km one way.
Most ACT Government car parks charge Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm. Canberra Centre charges a $4 flat rate from 6pm Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
